One Year Later

Sorry for another late weekly! Yesterday I had half a P-Day because we had a rendezvous with some ward members so we split our P-Day between Monday and today so that way I'm able to send out some emails.

I'm not sure what exactly to write about from the last week because the only highlight of my week was talking with my family again after 5 long months! I was getting so antsy and anxious on Sunday because I was seriously looking forward to talking with the folks back at home. I was happy to see my family at home and boy oh boy my brothers have grown so much over the last year! I'm pretty sure that I'll be coming home to some giants! I love and miss my family! 6 more months until I'm reunited with them! In the meantime, I've gotta work my hardest until I finish in 6 months so hopefully time can be on my side and let things go by smoothly.

You guys I hit my year mark this Thursday! I can't believe that it's been that long already! My feelings have been so mixed about it. There are times when I feel like time has gone by way too fast and I would like it to slow down or I feel like the days and weeks go by super slow and feel like it's never going to end. I have to say that being on my mission for this long has been one of the most exhilarating experiences for my life and I wouldn't trade them for anything! I've met so many new people, contacted tons of strangers, taught many lessons, and traveled to different parts of France in 12 months!
Serving the Lord is something I feel honored to do for 18 months of my life. I've learned how aware He is of us and that He really has a plan for each one of us here on the Earth. As I reflect over the time I've been on my mission, things just start to make sense. I've been placed in villes where I'm needed, I've been put with companions who have helped me learn and grow in the gospel, and I can for sure see His hand in my life as I go through the ups and downs of a missionary. It's all incredible and I love every single second of being a missionary!

That's all I have time for guys! My emails are starting to slack a little bit so hopefully next week it'll be more exciting for you all! Have a fantastic week everybody!

Love,
Sœur Hopkinson
