Missionary Life

Bonjour famille! I am alive and well here at the MTC! I apologize for the lack of photos but the first two days here were very jam packed. MTC life is way busier than I thought it would be. As soon as I walked in the building, elders and sister missionaries were all around helping me out. Getting my mission badge was the highlight on the first day. I couldn't stop looking at it! Most of you know that I love accents and here I am now surrounded by tons of them. It was a little distracting for me when the instructor was giving an orientation with his British accent.

The first two days in class, I was bombarded by a ton of French. For about 3 hours, the teacher spoke the language and it was difficult to understand him, so most of us would nod our heads as if we understood and thought we would get away with it until he asked us to repeat to him what he said in English. Tomorrow, I will be teaching my first investigator and not only do my companion and I teach our first lesson, we have to do it in French.

My mission companion is so amazing and has a great personality. Her name is Sœur Schade (pronounced Scaddy). My district is awesome and we all get along fine. Last night, we were told that Fridays are our P-Days and that throughout the week we can read emails whenever we can at the appropriate time, but we can only respond on P-Days. Life here at the MTC has been fun so far and I'm learning a lot more French and how to be a missionary.

Dad, you were right about the food here at the MTC! There's so much to eat!

Today my district went and did a session in the Provo temple. The inside was very pretty and we also had breakfast in the cafeteria. They make delicious omelets! I miss you all and sorry that I didn't have any pictures to send! Next week there will be some pictures!
