Ooohhh I'm Halfway There!!!!!
I am halfway through my MTC experience everyone!
This week started out so great! My district finally moved into the new buildings on Monday! They are so beautiful and on every floor, there's a mural of a story from the scriptures! It is so magnificent and I'm so blessed to have been here at the MTC when the buildings were done being constructed.
Some awesome news from this week- the Provo MTC is going to have an open house for the new buildings and my companion and I were chosen to be interviewed for the open house video the church is filming! So, if anyone is planning on touring the new buildings, you might either see me in the video or possibly hear my voice or none of those depending on if my responses were good enough.....haha!
It felt really weird having to be filmed but it was so neat to see what happens behind the scenes when the crew was filming. My companion had amazing answers and was such a natural on camera. The whole crew was impressed with my companion and I so they gave us some pretty good treats after they filmed us!
Every Sunday night after devotional, all of the missionaries choose a Sunday movie or a conference talk to watch. Last Sunday, my district chose to watch the Joseph Smith movie and it was super good! I told the sisters in the residence that grandpa was a well known painter throughout the church and that dad has the replicas of Joseph and Hyrum Smith's death masks or whatever they are called and they thought I was joking!
I still haven't met another apostle yet since Elder Renlund but it's been said that during the summer, lots of apostles come and give a talk on Tuesday devotionals. We never really know who will be talking that night until we see the person walk on the stand. This week, we had a member of the Seventy come give us a talk and it was good. I participate in the MTC choir with the sisters and it's been enjoyable.
I can't believe I'm halfway done with my MTC experience! Three more weeks then I'm off to France! If anyone would like to send me some letters before I head to France my mailing address for Provo is:
